The Hazards of Speech

This is Shelley and she is the awesome, rock star of a Speech TA at the elementary school I work at.

This is Shelley after she cleaned her table.  This paper towel is filled with the residue of all the little kiddos we see.  Yuck.  Its a good thing these kids are all so cute.

On a less disgusting note... we celebrated Dr. Seuss last week....

and we redecorated our room for St. Patty's day.  Our kids each colored a shamrock and we hung them from the ceiling.  Its totally distracting but we like it.

Comps=Lame

So we just completed our comprehensive finals for our masters program.  We pretty much had to be able to recall anything we've learned over the past four years.  It was tough... I've never studied for anything more.  But now, a mountain of books, a zillion hours, six pens, and a few pounds later,  it's over!  Hallelujah!  I am so happy top have my life back.  I know Trev is happy too... I'm way more fun when I am stress free.

Trev has been so good to me through the whole thing.  He cooked all of our meals, cleaned house, went grocery shopping, went on chocolate runs, and gave me the love, support, hugs, and encouragement I needed to survive this thing.  I couldn't have done this without him... Love you beebs!

Olé, Olé, Olé, Olé...Real Salt Lake

Real Salt Lake, the 2009 MLS Cup Champions, came to visit our school today. It was by far the coolest school assembly ever! Leo, the mascot came to show off the trophy and his cool mascot tricks.
The kids were so cute! I have never them more excited. I had a blast too! I was giddy like a school child (you know me, I'm a soccer nerd!). The trophy. They had to wear special gloves before touching it. It was so pretty.
I got to stand next to Leo and the pretty trophy.  I felt pretty special!

besties!

Jessica's bridal shower was this weekend and I am so glad my mom and I were able to go. She is so cute! I love this girl!

Christmas!

Wow! It has been a really long time since we've posted. There is still a lot of catching up to do! Christmas was super fun. We got to go to New Mexico to see Trev's family and everyone was there! It was a blast! I loved hanging with the family, playing games, and making a zillion tamales with mom and Jen!

And of course, I loved playing with the kiddos! I think this is the best picture ever!

We went to Carlsbad Caverns... totally amazing!

We had a white Christmas and played in the snow! I love snow. :)
Cutest kids ever! Love these guys!

Camping!

Last weekend we decided that we needed some fresh air, so we headed to Navajo Lake to go camping. We had a great time! We set up camp, explored in the woods a bit, whittled fire sticks, and roasted hot dogs over a campfire that I started (thanks to Trev's awesome boy scout lesson!). Just after dinner it started to rain so we headed into the tent. We were both pretty excited about the rain. We hung out in our tent and listened to the rain as we played cards and read Harry Potter. As it got close to bedtime, we discovered that our tent was not as rain-worthy as we thought... but it didn't leak too much. It was a long night but we survived!

We like to whittle!

Hanging out listing to the rain drops on our tent. We love the rain!

Catching Up

Time sure goes by fast! We have had a busy summer! Trev and I both took classes this summer but we still managed to have a lot of fun adventures. Now we need to blog about them all! We have had Dad Loeffler's b-day, my b-day, the most amazing trip to the east coast, a demo derby, and a camping trip. I'll start with the most recent stuff first.
